Let's not be too hasty in judging Sarah Palin as a quitter. Her reasons
for stepping down were spelled out very clear (paraphrased below). She
has the celebrity stature of doing a lot more damage to the progressive
liberal agenda in other ways without her hands being tied to Alaska's
Governorship.
1) I don't see any point serving any longer as a lame duck governor,
wasting millions of dollars in tax payer money on bogus ethics
accusations and charges, when I can rather start serving the
conservative causes of Alaska and the U.S. from better vantage
positions outside of politics.
2) Why should I continue to place my children for one more day -
unnecessarily - vulnerable to malicious attacks at the hands of mean spirited
people (MSM media).
3) I (we) will definitely continue the fight for traditional founding
father values in America, and vigorously support those candidates who hold the
same values, only not as governor of Alaska.
4) I arrived at this decision through much thought and prayer, and concluded it by asking my family how they feel about it.
If she fails to keep her promise either as a future conservative
politician, or a media heavy weight for conservative goals, then she
can be criticized as a quitter, and not before. God Bless, heal, and
protect her, and her family.
